Sleek, completely straight hair is one of the most popular elegant hairstyles and since there’s nothing more to it than just straightening, you can do it when you don’t have enough time to experiment. Do have in mind that hair- straighteners can damage the hair so it would be best to save this style for special occasions. Now, if you’ve never straightened your hair before, here’s how to do it right:
Step 1: Section a few bottom layers on the back and around your face. Use a hairclip to keep the rest of your hair out of the way.
Step 2: Spray the layer you’re about to straighten with your favorite kind of heat protection fluid, releasing more and more layers until everything is nice and straight!
Step 3: Now it’s time for your hairdryer to do it’s magic! It does sound funny but I’ve realized cold air kind of “seals” the hair, making it harder to frizz later. So use the “Cold” setting, and keep the hairdryer slightly above your hair so it would blow down (use a brush and comb down if needed).
Step 4: Apply just a little bit of hairspray (Nivea is great because it doesn’t make the hair sticky, smells great and adds shine as well).
